Whirly Bird: It's really fun when your friends get married!

Last weekend, my sweet friends Brandy and Brandon got married. They're a perfect match, and such a beautiful couple. I used to think weddings were kinda bunk (sometimes even marriage in general), until of course, I met Kurt, and we got married. Ever since, I've been gushing about anything wedding related. I love weddings! To add to the excitement of the occasion, I had the honor of being one of Brandy's bridesmaids. I was so stoked to be a part of their wedding and help out with the celebration.

By day, I'm a designer and art director for my company's advertising department. It's pretty cool, I guess, but my work hardly compares to the enthusiasm and joy I feel from designing wedding related projects. I jumped at the chance to design their save-the-dates, invitations, and programs (I hope to share more photos of those later). We also dedicated a few of our weekly craft nights to making tons of pretty flowers out of tissue paper, to decorate the aisle at their ceremony.

As a bridesmaid, I loved being surrounded by girls leading up to the wedding. I've never been the type to have loads of girlfriends - I'm usually the lone female in a group of dudes! All of Brandy's friends were so sweet and fun to be around. I'm definitely gonna have to make more time for ladies nights in the future.
